COLLECTION // THE 5

This design is inspired one of the most iconic images from the current Israel-Gaza war. Five female surveillance soldiers -- Naama Levy, Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Agam Berger and Liri Albag -- were all abducted from their base in Nahal Oz, while still wearing their pajamas. Footage of these girls being dragged away by Hamas terrorists into Gaza is some of the most harrowing video that has been made public from the October 7 massacre. When they were released (four of them together, one subsequently), we learned that they were held together for the entirety of their captivity and that the bond shared between them was crucial for keeping each other alive. Liri Albag became famous for raising her hands in a heart to the public multiple times after her release. This design was created from a photo of the girls when they were watching a concert together in the hospital in the week following their release from Hamas captivity.

They remind us that together we can carry each other through anything. Girls, we love you and we are so relieved that you are finally home. Until the last one returns.
